Sheldon Rankins out 6-8 weeks

Bad news out of Saints camp today. Former Card Sheldon Rankins was injured in goal line drills and had to be carted off the field. Adam Schefter just tweeted this news about his timetable for return.

Saints first-round pick Sheldon Rankins will have surgery on his fractured fibula and likely be sidelined about six weeks, per source.

Another person familiar with Saints' first-round pick Sheldon Rankins' fractured fibula said initial prognosis has him missing 6-8 weeks.
