When the Seminoles come into Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on Saturday, they will try to knock off the Cards without a key piece of their defense. Jimbo Fisher confirmed on Monday that sophomore Safety Derwin James, a USA Today Sports preseason All-American, needs surgery on his left knee to repair torn cartilage.

James had 8 tackles and an interception in the season opener against Ole Miss.
