Well it may not be UofL related, but it is about tailgating. Patrick Hobbs is the Athletic Director at Rutgers and was visiting a new student tailgate section on Saturday called “The Alley”. According to the NY Post, Hobbs’ initial intention was to get on stage to calm the students down and remind them to respect the police. Suddenly, Hobbs felt like a college student again…
“My first concern is always for the safety and well-being of our students,” Hobbs told NJ Advance Media in defense of his actions. “Anyone who was at the [student tailgate] Saturday knows that I was acting to ensure that.
“I regret that any action on my part can be interpreted as promoting the use of alcohol,’’ he said. “That was certainly not my intention.’’
Oh ok.
