We get to tailgate tomorrow! But if you are with the Red Rage, you have gotten to tailgate at 4 out of 5 games this season. Not a bad track record. It’s time for another great recipe. We bring you Reggie Bon-Bonnafons! Be sure to check out the rest of our recipes so far as well. Like Reggie, these are very versatile and can be used at all kinds of events!

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened

5 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar

1/4 cup bourbon

1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

1 (12-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Preparation

Beat butter in a large mixing bowl at medium speed of an electric mixer; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add bourbon and pecans; mix well.

Shape mixture into 1-inch balls, and place on waxed paper lined baking sheets. Chill at least 30 minutes.

Place chocolate morsels in top of a double boiler. Cook over simmering water, stirring constantly until chocolate melts. Remove from heat, leaving chocolate over hot water. Using two forks, quickly dip chilled balls, one at a time, into melted chocolate.

To maintain coating consistency, add a small amount of warm milk to chocolate if necessary. Return bonbons to waxed paper-lined baking sheets and chill until firm. Store in airtight containers in refrigerator.

Enjoy your Reggie Bon-Bonnafons!
